 Q: Please introduce your company.
A: AeroFab is a custom sheet metal and welding facility. We laser cut, fabricate and weld per our customer's drawings. We work with designers and engineers on automated and food handling equipment as well as many other custom items. Our shop is 30,000 square feet with 28 employees.
Q: How have you utilized Han-Kwang laser cutting machinery and what has your experience been?
A: We started our company using a shear and punch. To stay competitive, we had to buy a laser. Initially, we bought a used 48 x 96 2,000 watt Mazak. After a year and a half we needed a bigger table and more wattage. We looked at may lasers and decided to buy a 60" x 120" 4,000 watt Han-Kwan dust pallet table. Being a custom shop, we were cutting all types of materials full time, so Han-Kwang's quick changeover service, along with the price were deciding factors. Service has been just great! We have since upgraded to a 4020 (72" x 144" table with a loader/unloader to increase our production which has proven to be a good idea and a great move. Installation and training wen smoothly. We've been running it 6 days a week for over a year now.
